stack-576 Release Notes

Summary

This release continues our work for the Curator usability and reliability while modernizing build tooling. The original roadmap intent was to reduce friction for metadata curation and improve data export and discoverability. Teams need faster curation workflows, fewer UI workarounds, and consistent help content. Curators can now complete reviews with fewer clicks and less context switching, data consumers can export snapshots without leaving the grid, and users see properly populated help results.

Issues completed: 6 (SWC-7568, SWC-7478, SWC-7626, SWC-7662, SWC-7502, PLFM-9395)

Affected Users & Systems

  • Primary users: Curators and data managers working in Curator grid.

  • Secondary users: Researchers and analysts exporting metadata for QA/reporting.

Deprecated or Breaking Changes

No breaking or backward-incompatible changes identified in this release.

New Features

  • Export to CSV from Curator grid (SWC-7568): enables one-click export without leaving the grid, reducing context switching and speeding handoffs to QA/reporting.

  • Adjustable grid column widths (SWC-7478): improves readability for long headers/values and supports diverse datasets.

  • Column header visibility improvements (SWC-7626): ensures headers do not truncate, clarifying column meaning at a glance.

  • Metadata tab renamed to “Tasks and Actions” with clearer tooltip and action label (SWC-7662): guides users to track items needing attention and to open Curator for metadata updates.

Fixes & Improvements

  • Synapse Help KB population restored (PLFM-9395): resolves missing results in production so users receive expected help responses.

  • Build/tooling modernization: stylesheets now loaded through Vite (SWC-7502) for smaller bundles, cache-busting, and faster local development.
